We love weddings, we love to have fun and enjoy the whole event. We mingle and chat to guests, have fun with the bride and groom and the bridal party often going above and beyond the call of duty. We're pretty much prepared to do anything to get that special shot.

People will always look their best when they're not thinking about photography. We believe you can't pose people naturally. During the wedding day we often use longer lenses to keep our distance so the photography looks natural.

We bring art to a wedding, creating and capturing memories and emotions.... remember that after the party has finished, the cake has been eaten, and the dress is in a box, the only thing left is the photography. We want our Bride and Grooms to look back at their wedding pictures in 20 years time and still be able to feel the emotions they felt on their wedding day.

Wedding photography is the most challenging type of photography. There are a lot of variables on the day that need to be understood, anticipated and dealt with, leaving the photography to amateurs with inferior equipment is simply asking for disaster. Wedding photography is not easy, you need a lot of experience, we cannot have a bad day as there is no chance of a wedding re-shoot.

To capture those moments you need a lot of past experience to know and understand the natural flow of a wedding. Most weddings are similar but often run very differently.
Digital Editing
We all know from the multitude of magazines that the final printed image you see is somewhat different than the original image. All of them have been manipulated and 'touched up' in one way or another. There is a real art to this and therefore we take our time with our editing and use top of range software to get your wedding images to a point where they are as good as they can be. Turning up on your wedding day is all about capturing the RAW Images, the magic takes place afterwards.
Post production editing is where we enhance the original images by altering them to make them absolutely perfect for you. Editing is very time consuming but this is where we can make a relatively 'normal' image look like a piece of wedding art.
What's the value of those edited images? Simple, cost control
Having your full resolution edited files (i.e. files absolutely perfect and ready for printing) means you are not only able to print your photos straight away, but with the many readily available online book making sites you can have fun making your own wedding book by simply dragging and dropping files from the edited folder into downloadable free templates. If this is something that you aren't comfortable with then we can do it for you.
Gary was one of the three original business owners of one2one who took over the running of one2one photography in the UK in 2005 after twin brothers Pete and Steve May emigrated to Canada and New Zealand respectively. Gary embraced the digital revolution early and moved from a film a digital. The choice between Canon & Nikon was tough but in the end Canon won the race and its been Canon ever since. Gary has been taking photographs for over 23 years and weddings for the last 7 years. Photography is not something that I ever thought I would make a living from and I feel very lucky that I do. When asked what I do, I say that I have a hobby that I get paid for!! How cool is that?
Nic grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK in 2004. He joined one2one in 2009 to help meet the increasing client demands for one2one as it grows here in UK. Nic's professional, artistic & relaxed approach to photography has enabled him to quickly become a professional photographer in his own right.
Russ is a trainee photographer with one2one. Russ is Gary's younger brother and has joined the one2one team to primarily pick up the clients in and around Cardiff where he lives. At the moment he often second shoots at weddings to learn the one2one way of shooting. He recently completed his first wedding on his own and is looking forward to more. Russ has great skills shooting people in all environments and he often shoots for PR Companies in night clubs in the Cardiff area.
