one2onephotography is a International firm of photographic professionals, which is now established in the UK, New Zealand, Canada and Australia. Gary runs one2one UK , twin brothers Steve and Pete run one2one NZ and one2one Canada respectively and Frank runs one2one Australia. one2onephotography is not a franchise, it is simply a group of fanatical digital photographers operating a brand driven Company. Here in the UK we have 4 photographers providing exemplary photography services to our clients nationwide.

When one2onephotography was established back in 1997 we took a blank piece of paper and not only asked ourselves what was right with the wedding photography industry but more importantly what was wrong with it, and what did customers want from a modern wedding photographer. One of the answers to the latter question was simply - you wanted YOUR photographs, and you wanted ALL of them.

Many wedding photographers operate their businesses owning the full Copyrights to YOUR photographs indefinitely. In fact, many professional photography associations discourage their members from giving up any form of Copyright. We thought that was fundamentally wrong and decided that we would provide all one2one customers with all the photographs that we capture on your very important day. We provide the full digital files without reducing the file size or quality. Each individual image is often as large as 5-10MB in size.

Our style...
one2onephotography aims to be at the forefront of wedding photography, leading not copying. As time moves on, we know that the wedding couples that seek us out are wanting something different from the traditional wedding photography that has been accepted for many years. Our clients are those that want the ultimate in photography for their wedding day. We report what we see, we are not at your wedding to change it, improve it, stage it or fictionalize it in anyway.

We use a modern photojournalistic/reportage approach to wedding photography that tells the story of your day. This approach allows us to capture the natural and special moments of your day, without someone always saying cheese, posing up the shots or simply taking over your day. It is your day and not ours!

People are at their best when they are not thinking about photography, we are there to capture the moments not the formal stuff. We use longer 200mm lenses to prevent our subjects from being aware that they are being photographed, this allows us to capture the natural essence of the day.

By photographing in this style we are able to move freely amongst your guests allowing us to document every aspect of the day. We do our best to be as invisible, unobtrusive and flexible as possible by not interfering with events that happen throughout the day. We will do some formal family, friends and one2one shots but we will not take you away from your guests for hours like some photographers do, we know you want to enjoy your time with your guests and have a drink!!!

Many couples often say to us that their wedding day went by so quick it was like a blur!!! 'Wedding photojournalism' is designed to tell the story of your wedding day with pictures. We painstakingly place every photograph, sometimes as many 1000+ in time order to re-tell the story and events that happened throughout your day, some of which you will have missed.

So what's the cost to buy our negatives? Your digital negatives are included in the price, we just don't need them nor do we want them. Let's face it, you will have employed us to take your photographs, not keep them. We will only use your photos to market ourselves through our portfolios on this website under 'your photos'. You get all the photographic images we take copied to CD-R or DVD-R placed in time order. The images copied to the disc will be the original digital files (digital negatives) and are yours to keep - we simply don't need them.

Pre wedding consultation We know that many people dislike having their photograph taken and so it is important to us that you feel comfortable with your chosen photographer. It's not every day that you are center of attention and have cameras pointed at you all day. As such we actively encourage all of our prospective clients to come and have an informal chat with us prior to any potential booking. We can then discuss your venues, timings and the style of photography you expect from us to make sure your wishes are fulfilled. It will also give us chance to meet you but more importantly for you to meet us. Quality control We only take on one wedding booking a day, for each of our photographers, and it will only ever be Gary, John, Sue or Jill - we do not, or will not, employ any freelance photographers. At the height of the wedding season all of the UK photographers may be fully booked. Some clients have their hearts set on one2one photographing their wedding. To assist in the demand for our services we can call upon our overseas photographers from one2one in NZ , Canada and Australia to help us out. If we do offer you this option it will only ever be one of our qualified photographers who will capture your day. Why do we do this???? We like to help our clients as much as possible and we hate to turn clients away in disappointment. As such, we can, and do quite literally fly photographers from the other side of the world to help us out. We prefer to do this rather than employ a freelance photographer for the day - that's how much we value our reputation and the work we produce. We do not want anyone from outside one2onephotography providing our clients with substandard service, image quality and professionalism.

Our digital darkroom We have truly embraced digital photography, digital editing and digital retouching. We have invested in the latest Canon digital equipment, purpose built computers, LaCie screens and in our opinion, use the best digital retouching software currently available - Adobe Photoshop. By mastering this software, we have a reputation of true technical wizards in our digital darkroom! We can of course provide whatever you want, colour, black & white, sepia or a combination of them all. When you receive your photographs, you may prefer to have certain images changed further, simply let us know - or come and see us and we will make the necessary changes for you while you wait.

Online wedding album
We do not think it is right for other people to see your pictures before you do, especially if you are on honeymoon without access to a computer. Our website is designed to allow you to view your images anywhere in the world. We will provide you with a password, giving you the choice to see your photos first, even whilst on honeymoon.
